Travel to the Big Island

Sept. 1st(Thurs.)
I got used to being in Hawaii and I didn't awake during night. I got up at 6:30 am and was staying and reading a book of "Electroluminescence" in veranda for half hour. In the morning, it was very comfortable and I could only hear the sound of waves and birds and I was so relaxed that I felt happy.
Today the weather was very fine and many yachts in the green and blue ocean and waves were high in the rock. We ate breakfast, bread and salad, egg, mango with orange juice and tea in the veranda.
After breakfast, we went to the Keauhou shopping center to buy some gifts and food and then went to the beach near the hotel.
This place was famous for King Kemehameha V birth place and ate Omusubi lunch made by my wife.
It was very hot, so we stayed at three different pools in the village. There were few people at each pool.
I don't know where most of people were going. At 3:30 pm, the temperature was going down and we took a walk near the village. There were many resort hotels or villages and golf courses. I was wondering why there were so many hotels in Kona town.
After returning, we dropped in the village office. We heard a Hawaiian song and tried to have a drink. When I took a drink, the lady who played a musical instrument asked us to join the Hawaiian dance. We learned the Hawaiian dance for 30 minutes in front of in public. We learned that Hawaiian dance have meaning of dance.
We had the last day's dinner before sunset. There were many kayak passed by in front of the condominium. Today I had a beautiful sunset. I had a great time in Hawaii island.
Sept. 2nd(Fri.)
We got up at 6:00 am and began to prepare for our luggage.
The weather was fine and changed air walking near the condominium. In the morning I felt clean air which made me fresh. We had a breakfast in the veranda. This was the last meal for this trip.
The trip staying for one week was proper period. I could be relaxed and enjoyed Hawaii very much.
We left the village at 7:40 am for the Kona airport and arrived at 8:10 am and then returned a rent a car at the dollar rent-a-car office. It was very easy access from Keauhou to airport and we had a plenty of time at the airport, so we spent our time staying in the restaurant.
The Kona airport is small and local one, so there is only one restaurant and one gift shop.
The airport is open air and very hot. I thought it was strange that there is a flight for the Jumbo jet. The airplane left 10:45 am and took 40 minutes flight to Honolulu which is much bigger than Kona airport.
There is a big difference between Kona airport and Honolulu one. As we bought a Goku ticket issued by JAL, we could use the Sakura lounge at Waikiki airport which made us relaxed. There are so many tax free shops, restaurants and book stores. My wife bought new book of Harry Potter at the Honolulu airport. The same airplane left Honolulu airport at 1:10 pm for Narita. The flight between Waikiki and Narita is 7hours and 15minutes. We landed on 16:30 pm at Narita airport on next day Saturday in Japan time. We had a pleasure time in Hawaii and we felt visiting Hawaii again in some day. We began to think about the next trip in the near future.
