Travel to the Big Island

Part X
Aug.31th (Wed.)
I awaked every two hours. There was no air condition in our condominium, but the room was not so hot. There was a rain midnight. My wife and I got up at 6:30am and before breakfast I took a walk in this resort area. There was a person who played golf and some people were walking. There were several birds coming and picking up a piece of bread and some food. Some of the birds I have never seen before were not afraid of me and came to me. I enjoyed seeing their behavior. The breakfast was ham and egg with bread and coffee.

We left the condominium for Hapuna beach at 9:30 am by way of route 19 and 11. We passed through Kona downtown and we had a little traffic jam, but not serious one. It took about 30 minutes from the condominium to Kona airport.

When we arrived at Hapuna beach, it was 10:30 am. The weather was fine and temperature was high. We thought we would have suntan, so we used UV cut oil. The beach is very clean and wide. At the end of the beach, there was Hapuna Prince Hotel. I used a snorkel which we bought in Japan for this trip. It was easy to breeze. This beach is very good beach, but there was no fish. When we stayed in the beach, it was too hot. We swam there for about two hours. Near the beach, there was a hamburger stand and we bought a jumbo size cup of cola and vegetarian burger. After that, we dropped in Waikoa shopping center and Mariot Hotel which were built recently.

We stopped at the Keahou shopping center and bought food and beverage and gifts. It cost more than 50 dollars. Returning the condominium, my wife prepared for "Sohmen". After that, we again went to pool nearby. There were only one couple and it was very quite and swam. There was a jaguji bath and it was very comfortable.
We ate Soba, salad, baked egg with beer and miso soup. It was simple, but it tasted very good. Because we could have a very beautiful scenery and fresh air outside during dinner.
Today the weather was fine, so I tried to take a picture of sunset from the veranda. We took a walk in the Outrigger Kanaloa at Kona.
